We can’t always create five-star meals at home, but we can absolutely use five-star wine to bump our two-star culinary skills up a notch or two.
Proof’s most and least pretentious wine enthusiasts, along with local wine lush and Director of Sales of our favorite boutique wine distributor, Joshua Gingery, present a tasting with a diverse array of food friendly, easy to drink wine perfect for the Autumn season and exceptional with comfort foods like pizza & burgers.
Small production Tempranillo with some age on it, delicious and affordable Burgundy, and geeky Italian wine are yours for the sipping (and buying!) from 5 to 8PM Monday, October 28 with small bites for purchase from our talented kitchen whose food, it’s worth mentioning, does not need wine to be enjoyed.
Join us for Fall appropriate wine to enjoy when it’s “too damn cold to leave the house,” free to wine enthusiasts 21+, food available for purchase.
“Pretentious and Pour” is a new series from the wine nerds at Proof, born out of Bar Manager Karli’s insistence on pairing our very good juice with whatever snack she had available — Pinot Noir & Cool Ranch Doritos, Lambrusco & corn dogs, Barbera & McDonalds. Eventually General Manager/Wine Steward Jared joined in with equally ridiculous additions like Beaujolais & Fong’s, Champagne & french fries, Chardonnay with microwave popcorn — truly the best and the worst.
